The Mogadishu Meteor Impact

The 845 kilometer radius seismic circle from the Mogadishu Meteor Impact formed a part of the Great Rift Valley.
     The most notable indication of the Mogadishu Impact is the seismic circle at 845 kilometers from the center of impact, This circle is in direct line with many of the volcanoes which define the Great Rift Valley of Eastern Africa. It appears that the seismic wave of this impact cracked the surface of the Earth sufficiently to allow these volcanoes to form. In adition, at 3220 kilometers to the East, it appears that this impact was the cause of the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. This is shown below.
