Advisory

If you arrived here by any means other than from the Index of Impacts, it is suggested that you start at the Introduction to gain an understanding of what follows.

Oregon

Oregon, a description of the impact sites

This is an overview of the geography of the State of Oregon and the neighboring states. This image shows many impact sites. Click on the image to highlight them.
As the impacts are highlighted, the geography starts to organize so that other impacts can be seen more easily. Nearly all geographic features will resolve into their respective impacts. From there, the residual effects of erosion and volcanism can be more clearly understood. Some of the geography shown here is from impacts far larger than the image.

The original of this image is available HERE (4800 x 2438 pixels). If you load these images to full size, you can follow the circle lines to see the specific geographic formations that make these circles.
